Rodney Miller – A Champion for the People’s Music

New Jersey resident Rodney Miller had something cooking on his mind besides learning the culinary trade. It was his love for music that burned deep in his heart. He enjoyed every aspect about the craft from singing at church to songwriting. Influenced by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, the genius of Quincy Jones and country greats like Alabama and Kenny Rogers, Miller began to experiment with writing songs.

Miller began writing songs with lyrics that made a connection to audiences much like
his musical influences. With songs like I Made Choices in life, Like a Song and Until We Come Together, Miller wrote songs about love, peace, hope, inspiration, heartbreak, healing and lost love. It was important for Miller to be able to connect with song lovers of different experiences, backgrounds and musical genres. During his career Miller has performed at legendary venues such The Apollo Theater and Cami Hall in New York.

Taking his love for music to another level, Miller became a publisher and started his own company called All People’s Publishing. Now as president, Miller’s goal is to bring as many fans as possible together through music. Hard work has continued to pay off. Miller’s songs continue to get played worldwide and have been recorded by Nashville singer and actor Ramsey Kearney.

The label CMG Records Nashville also had success with Miller’s song Daddy’s Little Girl. With 13 years of experience as a songwriter, Miller has honed his craft and continues to focus on songs with inspirational melodies and moving lyrics. Miller is definitely on his way to becoming a champion for the people’s music.

The passion and love for music is evident in VIP’s unique sound; check out the release of “!Mbedded”

VIP – You would think it stands for Very Important People… ..But for these aspiring musicians and the dynamic duo of R&B music, VIP stands for, ”Vocally Inspired People”.

“It just seems to fit us,” says PrYmE. “The name derives from going to clubs and partying.” The name was given more importance when the “V” represented Vern “Rev” and the “P” represented Pierre “PrYme”. That was when the thrill and excitement to make music became official. ReV and PrYmE have major plans and goals for the future. Hard Work and dedication is their motto. They welcome the opportunity to expose the world to their beautiful and melodic voices. Beyond how they mix an old school voice “ReV”, with present-day vocals “PrYme”, their passion and love for the music make their sound unique.

They intrigue fans with sensual melodic love songs such as the 2020 Spring Release of “!Mbedded” or the 2019 Winter release of “Don’t Forget About Us”. Although their newly released EP “Hors d’Oeuvres” was just a taste of what V!P bring to the table, the rest of 2021 will be full of surprises.

The Gore Boyz (TGB) was the recipient of the prestigious Akademia Music Award for Best Pop Song on October 15, 2020.

Their new single “Spend A Bag” talks about how you have to spend a bag on a girl to impress her. JosephCGuess wrote his new track as a tribute to his wife, celebrating their anniversary

Joseph C Guess grew up in a music family but didn’t realise his music talent until much later on in his life. Although he didn’t discover his music talent at first, writing poetry became an outlet for him as a teenager.

“I didn’t appreciate music earlier on probably because it reminded me of being the only son who wasn’t musically talented. I was more into sports back then. I think at the age of 14 years old was when I started listening and appreciating music.” says the artist

He started writing poetry in 2020 during the epidemic to release stress from this nightmare in this world. Then later that year him and his wife planned a vacation to Daytona Beach, Florida to celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary and 13 years together.
He came up with an idea to get an unexclusive lease on an instrumental beat from J Grooves and then he wrote a song called LaRisa.

“I wrote this song,” LaRisa” after my wife’s name to dedicate to her for our 9th wedding anniversary and it became so well liked that people including my wife told me that I have to show this song to the whole world. I hired a musician named Rex to sing it how I wanted, then the rest was history. I had the song made in a poem format on a canvas to read to her then played the song. She kept it together but was a little emotional during process. She heard the song and told me in a belligerent voice to share this with the world now!! So this is exactly what I intend on doing at this moment. I hope the people will like it.”
says Joseph C

LaRisa will release on all formats on June 4,2021.

‘Checking In’ by Abi Mia was inspired by her regular Zoom chats with her Grandfather during a time when connecting with family and friends is important

Abi Mia’s next single ‘Checking In’ is being released on April 30th and was inspired by her almost daily Zoom chats that she has been enjoying with her 93-year-old grandpa over the past year; something which has become more poignant as time goes on.

‘I wrote it from the perspective of talking to him so it has an intimate, comforting feel to it and the message of the song it is to check in with friends and family on a regular basis even if they seem ok, as you never know when someone may be struggling, just need a chat or feel connected with other people. Recent times have made this more prevalent but it has always been very important to me.’ says Abi Mia

Abi Mia is an independent singer/songwriter from London, UK. Abi Mia writes her original songs from the heart – always inspired by her experiences and things happening in the world. She also finds it essential to get that emotion across in her performance so she can connect with the audience, something that is reflected in her lyrics. Taking influence from powerful & soulful female artists such as Alicia Keys, Demi Lovato, Amy Lee & Kelly Clarkson – Abi Mia has developed her unique songwriting and performance style. With Abi Mia, you’ll find that she has a confident and powerful voice with elements of soul with her performing with a live piano/keyboard at some of her shows.

Hip-Hop fusion band tackles the social and political issues behind what separates us!

Raw, passionate, and real. These are just a few terms that could best describe Subconscious Culture. Born from the mind of Erin Miller, Subconscious Culture aims to target and address the issues behind what affects our society for the better and for the worse. The lyrics: unrelenting. The music: skillfully crafted. With songs co-produced by Paul Paresa, this band is dedicated to delivering an organic experience, unadulterated by anything artificial or over-edited. Hot on the heels of the recent singles, “Still Moments”, “Paper Thin”, and “Almost Love” comes a new EP, “What Separates Us” which is available on May 24, 2021. The new EP features lush soundscapes and tight grooves aided by horns, strings, and the usual suspects. “What Separates Us” is provided in collaboration with Matt Brewster, Salvatore Manalo, Laryssa Birdseye, Sarah Wild, RxN, DTW, and more!

“What Separates Us” is ultimately a round-trip journey within; a story told in 7 parts.
It will sweep you into a place of bohemian bliss, tethered by alternative soundscapes that are rooted in hip-hop. As the EP progresses, it’ll transport you to smoother pastures laden with jazz and soul influence. The return trip once again embraces bohemian ideals that are ripe with harmony and rich brass. The journey finally culminates with a thought-provoking intensity that can be best described as authentically raw.

Subconscious Culture is ever evolving with its members and genres that are blended with hip-hop. While the first full-length album, “Philosophy Unraveled” featured rock and funk influences, the first EP, “What Separates Us” relies more heavily on jazz tones. In many ways, “What Separates Us” is the first of a two-part release. The followup EP, “What Unifies Us” will close the circle of the duality surrounding human nature. It will be focused on what brings us together, while drawing inspiration from funk and soul. Regardless of the release, listeners should be prepared for intensity and to think, analyze, and interpret.

Koko Nova’s new song ‘Addicted To You’ is a multi-faceted soul/electro-pop gem with a touch of funk and exotic sounds

Koko Nova is the next buzz in the alternative pop scene. Her soulful storytelling is brought to life by her exquisite sound, vivid lyrics and carefully crafted sonic experiences. Her background in science lends a unique touch to her songwriting: abstract motifs and elaborate constructs. She wants to encourage her listeners to embrace their full spectrum of emotions and not be held back by expectations and judgement: let’s be the sentient humans we were born to be! Koko’s debut single, Addicted to You will be out on 23 April globally.

The song is a multi-faceted soul/electro-pop gem with a touch of funk and exotic sounds. On the surface it may appear just like another love song, but don’t get fooled so easily! Originally inspired by her love of (or rather addiction to) tea and of course by an important ex-lover, the song has a much deeper message. It draws attention to addictions in our lives: coffee, cigarettes, love, social media, you name it. The more you listen to the song, the more you start travelling through various visions and feelings that it evokes. Koko collaborated on her debut single with a talented producer, Retro Island Studio, who was able to help her bring to life all her visions.

There are multiple instruments throughout the song, but one in particular was key to giving the song a touch of exotic flair: there’s an Indian sitar motif right in the beginning that repeats a couple of times throughout the song, and connects with the tea theme.

Koko grew up in Hungary, the country of Liszt and Bartok, where she was introduced to the world of music as a toddler thanks to her parents. As a child, she loved dancing and singing and began playing the violin. During high school she decided to pursue her interest in science and set off to London to study Computer Science. After graduating, she worked in the corporate world. She thought she found her dream job when she one day realised that she was caged, and far from her free-spirited self. After working and travelling all around the world, and with a failed startup under her belt, Koko finally decided to pursue her lifelong passion for music. She is currently based in London and Budapest, collaborating with those who share her artistic vision.
