After a break from music I came back under the name island banks and have since made 2 singles since July 2020. One of which is a UK garage track and was praised by the UK garage master himself, Artful dodgers very own Mark Hill. In a video response to my track “only one” Mark gave constructive feedback and said that he loved the track and cannot wait to see what I come up with next. Mark is responsible for one half of the duo artful dodger along with Pete Devereux who made Craig David’s debut album, (born to do it).” “On top of this I have been on local radio stations and won the “Make you Famous” competition on Centre force 88.3 radio in July 2020 for my first track “See you again”.” “I have also had my debut song on BBC introducing Essex where it got played with great reception.”
What motivates you to do music? “Current events and personal situations is always key for me. I don’t not like to write about genres I cannot relate to or haven’t experienced myself so everything I write is from the heart and genuine. That’s how you connect with an audience. That’s how you reach new fans. Just be real and true to yourself.”
What are your Inspirations / influences? “I have many influences and inspirations. Back in the day growing up my Dad raised us and he showed me the likes of, snoop dogg, NWA, the fugees, Eminem, LL Cool J, Public Enemy,Naughty by nature and many more. It was a very rap /hip hop household growing up.”
“My brother was into RnB and house music and my sister was pop music as she was a little younger so I had alot of music going on that’s why I can listen to many types of music and it helps me write my music today. With me I was into RnB and UK garage mainly and artists like Usher, Craig David, Dru Hill/Sisqo and many more influence my taste and style of music writing today.” Where have you performed? “I have performed on channel U live performances (pre recorded), Embassy club London and SX Festival.” Upcoming projects? “I have recently signed a single deal with Perfect Havoc Records which is set to be released on September 10th. This track is called “play it cool” and its from producers Menrva who is a House duo from Ireland. DJ and Producer Eduke has already made a name for himself as one of the top 30 Tech House artist in 2020 and 2021 according to Beatstats.com. Eduke did not start making dance music until 2013, even though he has been producing and writing for over 20 years. Prior to 2013 he made commercial pop music and wrote acoustic ballads which many in the underground dance scene shy away from. It was not until he lost his mother from a battle with Cancer that Eduke decided to pivot into House music, Tech house and Techno with a little stint in Edm.
When asked what was it about the loss of his mother that inspired him to start making House music, he said “After I lost my mother to Cancer, I didn’t want to make or listen to sad music any more. Dance music to me was the perfect alternative. In fact, I started producing dance tracks on my lap-top as a way to deal with the pain of watching a loved one wither and die. Producing uplifting, high energy tracks was my distraction. It took me to a place away from the gloom and hopelessness”.
The name Eduke is an African name borrowed from his mother after her passing on May 14th 2014. The artist decided to use the name as a way to pay respect to someone whom he says “sacrificed her entire life for her Faith and her children”.
Eduke says his need to spin music was the result of fate and survival. The music literally saved him in one of his darkest hours. In 2015 Eduke joined UK’s Concrete promo LTD as the exclusive promo company for his releases following the example of House music icons like David Penn and a slew of others. Via concrete promo the artist has released ground breaking records making waves across the globe and garnering the support of icons like Claptone, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Roger Sanchez, Richie Hawtin, Don Diablo, Dash Berlin just to name a few. His “The Wished EP” reached #2 on the Music Week dance chart and #9 on the commercial charts. More than 4 years after, “The Wished EP” (March 2021) charted on Apple music at #13 of House Albums albums in China following some features from the EP on the Chinese fantasy comedy Wished (2017) by Award winning movie director Dayyan Eng. His releases have been regulars on the Beatport, Apple Music and Traxsource top 100 charts. In 2020 Eduke released some of the best selling tracks on Beatport. His track “One House” was ranked among the top 10 Best Selling tracks of 2020.
Still in the first quarter of 2021, Eduke just released the island inspired Tech House banger “Lucea” on the Juicy music label run by Robbie Rivera. One week in, Lucea has charted on the Best of Tech House, Mixtank, the weekly digs, Beatport Weekend Picks and Peak Hour tracks of 2021.
It is an incredible time for Eduke as DJs and Fans are really loving his sound across the globe, from Ibiza to London, Berlin to Sydney, Amsterdam to Miami, Paris to Johannesburg there’s so much love growing for his music. Based on all the indications, we say Eduke is one of the artists to keep an eye on this 2021. A well crafted sound, pure energy and excitement is what we hear from this artist. The Kith is an up-and-coming DJ duo consisting of two brothers born and raised in the Netherlands.
The duo is unique as the youngest brother is only 16 years old. Together they are at the start of their music career. Besides Slap House / Brazilian Bass they also make some heavier Bass House tracks.
The release of ‘Tell Me Why’ was their first real success, with a warm atmosphere and the deep bass known from Slap House. The track has been streamed over 30k times in a few months. Other tracks that followed up after this success within Slap House were ‘Closer’ on Kiwistage records and ‘Coming Back Around’ on Tritone records. Recently, in addition to the original mix, a remix was released by AUGUSTE of the track ‘Closer’.
‘Coming Back Around’ featuring Josh Vorster has a catchy vocal, supported by a deep bass. The high notes during the pre drop provide a broadening feeling, allowing the typical Slap House drop to hit deep. The melodic drop with powerful bass is the characteristic style of the song.
“I’ll Be Up” is the newest single from Max M, featuring Chris Willis.
“I’ll Be Up” is the latest single from Max M, the multinational DJ and producer currently living and working in France. Featuring guest vocals from Chris Willis, “I’ll Be Up” is an upbeat synth-wave odyssey, layering emotional lyricism over driving beats and sparkling electro flourishes.
“I’ll Be Up” boasts the same infectious punch as Max M’s earlier work, combining the soaring heights of the anthemic “Never Wanna Leave” with the sizzling immersive atmosphere of “Under Water”. Max M’s latest single begins by letting the piano take centre stage, before building to a cooly understated pre-chorus with old-school groves but stylishly modern vocals. From there, the single forges a unique path between irresistible rhythms and earnest vulnerability, backed up by sugary synths that prime “I’ll Be Up” to be the summer of 2021’s hottest club track.
I’ll Be Up builds off of the theme of a broken romance and nobody is getting any rest until things are resolved. The lyrics seem somewhat introspective. Max M’s production is the cinematic recipe that gives these thoughts form by means of a varied drum pattern, moving bassline, fluctuating synth and electronic sounds. I’ll Be Up is a winning collaborative effort, good for the rhythmic gusto and lovers of an inventive gnosis.
Max M’s tracks Never Wanna Leave and Under Water ranked first and fifth on the American DJ site – Digital DJ Pool. As a man of many talents, including a professional career in computer science, Max M reentered the world of music at the age of 40 after establishing a career in technology.
While the days are getting cooler and darker, so does the new single of the Two Brothers.
“So Cold” is the name of the new hot track that takes the listener right into the heat. It’s a kind of the cold and darker answer to their previous single “Looking For You”.
Of course, you’ll find all the Martin Brothers ingredients like the glittering synth-sounds, the spheric retro pads paired with a sing along chorus. But this time they added a touch of R&B to get the catchy groove constantly going. It’s one of those tracks that really capture the vibe of a big city night and mystical romance.
Imagine you drive with your car through the neon streets of Los Angeles, Bangkok and so on or walking down the stairs to an underground club, well So Cold will definitely bring you right into that mood.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the Martin Brothers, if they didn’t also capture this feeling in a music video. Be sure not to miss that nightshift on YouTube, while they are heading right into the heart of downtown Los Angeles at midnight.
“Reinvent The Love” is the second single from the album “Metamorphoses” by Gloww.
From its first moments, the composition reveals slowly and steady. Here is an atmospheric story in pop-noir style about the lonely soul which finally finds what it’s been looking for, the reason why it’s filled with the light and everything makes sense.
The song leaves a mystic aftertaste and continues the story painted in “My League”.
The compositions of the new album, which is currently being worked on, are distinguished by their unique style and deep relevant sound. GLOWW also produces his own music thus bringing a special atmosphere and unusual beauty to his tracks and experimenting with the vocal and sound nuances.
GLOWW is a new name in music environment. It is a certain atmosphere and various aspects of perception of the whole world. Sometimes naive and sometimes frightening but definitely filled with depth and sincerity. These are the moments of life captured in musical stories.
Each song is a particular experience into which the artist invites you. GLOWW creates his music by himself manifesting it through the sensual, like height, depth, bond, feelings and emotions that do exist in everyone of us.
The artist prefers to remain unrecognized and does not reveal the details of his personality so far, in purpose for his audience to have opportunity to focus on his music solely.
