One early morning, Shane Allenger found himself scrolling through social media, quietly absorbing the relentless tide of daily news without waking his significant other. The pervasive sadness of the world weighed heavily on him, a stark reminder of humanity’s stagnation amidst its supposed growth. Yet, as he turned his gaze to his loved one sleeping peacefully beside him, he felt a profound sense of solace. This juxtaposition inspired Shane to contemplate how many others share this yearning for a safe haven, reminiscent of Peter Pan’s quest to return to Neverland and his loved ones. Fueled by this emotional reflection, Shane headed to his studio and began writing. By the end of the day, he had crafted a demo, which he eagerly shared with his associate Ben Hudson. Ben’s enthusiastic response confirmed the song’s impact. The accompanying video captures the essence of this sentiment, depicting a journey back to the ones you love, no matter where you find yourself—a true “A Sweet Dream.”

Proudly adopting his stage name from his family name “Allenger,” with “Shane” bestowed upon him by his mother in homage to the beloved movie character, he embraces his identity and heritage. As the lead singer, percussionist, producer, and songwriter of the duo Hi Tide, alongside his cousin Sean Hennings, Shane has enjoyed a dynamic career. They have shared stages with notable artists such as LP and Andrew Martin, highlighting their versatility and collaborative spirit.
