Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

I grew up in a family who is not supporting my dreams and I had to overcome the usual financial struggles that come with that by myself. Luckily my friends always made sure I got to enjoy things growing up. Big up my bestie and my producers who held my hand through hardship.

Where are you from?

Cyprus.

When did you start music?

I was singing at the school choir when I was young and I played the electric guitar at some point. I started doing music professionally when I was 17.

How did you get into music?

I started as a dancer and musical theater performer when I decided to get into music.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

It was the loss of my auntie and my uncle in an airplane crash when I was 13.

Are you currently signed or independent?

Independent.

Who inspires you the most musically?

I like all kinds of music, I’m inspired by singers who write their own songs like Amy Winehouse.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

After listening to my music I want people to take away that I am going to be the next hot thing – giving them the good vibes.

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

Listening to my track Dance Floor playing in Dash radio in Atlanta.

Do you produce your own music?

If not who do you work with? No, but I can write. I work on a lot of beats by multi platinum producers and Grammy award winning producers and songwriters.

Who is one artist you wish you could work with?

In terms of UK artists it would be Stormzy and Stefflon Don and in terms of globally it would be Travis Scott and Chris Brown.

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?

I have a song coming out called ‘You should know’ on the 27th of November featuring Grammy nominated producer Rmb Justize. It’s about a girl falling in love with a relationship she never saw coming and people talk about it – hot topic. It’s a romantic song talking about the magic between the two and how beautiful it is to know each other so well.

What does a day inside your shoes look like?

Making music, making money and university. Making music, developing my fashion brand and networking online. As a CEO and founder of my own label and fashion brand a lot of things has to be dealt by me.

With the release of her new song “A Star is Born” off the ES DOT album, former Vampire Diaries star, Salina Soto continues to prove her capability as an all-round entertainer from her musical performance. The newly released video for A.S.I.B. (A Star Is Born) has chalked up over 6,400 views on YouTube in a few days.

The song is a perfect rendition of her signature style of R&B, Soul, and Rock. Working on the visuals for “A Star is Born” allowed Salina to display her skill, not only as a talented singer but also as a capable video director.

Salina Soto displayed trademark commitment and resilience throughout the production of A Star Is Born. The audio features impeccable lyrics lapping over modern pop instrumentals. Sitting in the director’s chair, she pulled the strings and delivered an engaging video with superior use of colours. The video features flawless dancing and choreography from start to finish. With such dedication to her craft, it is not at all surprising that reviews from listeners and viewers have been positive, they only wished that the track was longer.

Salina Soto began her musical career in 2015. She marked the start of this journey with her first EP, “The Cusp” in 2017. The project was executed in collaboration with double Grammy winner, Timothy Bloom.  More recently, Salina released a sophomore EP titled “Es Dot” in 2020. On this project, she tapped up Grammy award-winning producers who have worked with top artists like Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. Outside the music industry, Salina Soto, is recognized as an award-winning actress, model, and now director. Born and raised in LA, California, her career took off after she excelled in several acting roles in The Vampire Diaries, Days of Our Lives and CSI: NY.

Tiana Kocher teamed up with multi-platinum recording artist and rapper Sage the Gemini for her latest single release, ‘Take Over’, which she wrote with GRAMMY award-winning writer Candace Wakefield, and Sage the Gemini.

Releasing through Manila Music, the ‘Take Over’ music video was directed by Ali Zamani and produced by Zeus Zamani of AZ Films. Set on a Southern California sun drenched backdrop, ‘Take Over’ is a song about love, but through the eyes of both the male and female’s perspective of a couple finding each other and “taking over” the world together.

“Take Over’ was one of the first songs I ever recorded in Los Angeles,” says Kocher. “I recorded and filmed the music video over two years ago during summer 2018, and it was my first song working with a feature. I had an incredible time working with Sage, who ended up being one of my closest confidants in the industry. I consider him my big brother. I was fortunate enough to be able to work really closely with AZ Films to create a visual that matches the energy of the song. We always want to outdo ourselves, so we came up with the idea of filming the music video on a yacht! I had such a great time working with my closest friends on this music video.” 

Sage the Gemini has been featured on several award-winning songs including records with Chris Brown and Flo Rida, and has produced a multitude of songs, most recently for Tinashe and Tyga.

Tiana Kocher has collaborated with several GRAMMY award-winning recording artists including TLC, Faith Evans and Latin reggaeton J. Alvarez amongst others, as well as multiple award-winning record producers including Laney Stewart, Leon “RoccStar” Youngblood, Warren Kurtiss and Tyler Reynolds.

British actor turned pop singer Alexander James (AJ) Rodriguez has dropped his first single ‘My Crew’ produced by hit makers Laney Stewart, who has sold over 50 million records producing, writing, and publishing artists such as Chris Brown, Alessia Cara, and Madonna to name a few, and writers Alex Jacke, who has written for various artist’s including Jason Derulo, Madison Beer, Kehlani and Kanye West, and Liz Rodriguez (Viva! Makossa Magic).

The song, which has already reached over 18,000 views on YouTube, was recorded in North Hollywood, California just ahead of the tweens thirteenth birthday.

Like most teenagers, friendships go along way for Alexander, who chose to write his first record during COVID-19 about his closest friends, who have been with him since day one since living in America. Having moved from Spain to London to Los Angeles when he was a toddler, all friendships great and small are important.

“It’s been a tough year for everyone, everywhere, so I wanted to sing songs that people could relate to and sing together whatever they were doing,” said, Alexander. “For me, My Crew is a fun song to celebrate my friends who have stuck with me through thick and thin. We all need a good crew around us, especially in times like these, and I am grateful to have mine since day one. I really hope people enjoy the record and vibe along with each other.”

After much postponement, due to the pandemic, Alexander recorded the three records at age twelve with one song consecutively being released each month, ‘My Crew’ (07.07), ‘Your Smile’ (08.08) and ‘Up To You’ (09.09), with a further three records penned for later in the year.

The SAG-AFTRA actor is best known for his British voice-over work on the popular animated series Bee and Puppycat on Cartoon Hangover, where he plays Bee’s loveable landlord, Cardamon. Other acting and voice over credits include the 2020 Golden-Globe winner and Academy-nominee Missing Link, Lance Kinsey’s feature-film All-Stars, and Flock of Four, set in 1959 Los Angeles, directed by Greg Caruso.

The versatile performer has also appeared in various national TV commercials and print campaigns. In 2015, Alexander took to the stage joining the cast of ‘Appropriate’ in the highly acclaimed Centre Theatre Group production at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
